Summary: Fraser, you ever get the feeling that uh, you know, you're lost?

Notes:

This story was written for my good friend Skater, who just got into Due South and is in love with the boys. She watched the eps and by the time she saw Call of the Wild, she wanted to read a specific sort of fic - one that delved inside their heads a little more. She put the ideas down on paper, I just put her thoughts into words. Skater, I hope this was the fic you imagined.

I loved this story. It was a great look at the thoughts that could have been running through their heads in CoTW, and I find it totally believable. LOVE the Ray-pathos...his feeling that he doesn't know who he is without Fraser, his realization that he needs Fraser. That fit very well with what we saw in the episode, especially the conversation Ray had in the car with Thatcher. Fraser's realization that he loves Ray was also beautifully portrayed, and they were both perfectly in character. The story was very well done all the way through.

I'd love to see a sequel, because they have more to work out! But Kudos for this one, it's beautiful, and so are both pieces of accompanying artwork.

(Speaking of artwork, I'm dying to know where you obtained the CGA in your icon...did you make it? It's...umm...fantastic. A split second before they kiss. Wow.)

everytime I watch that ep, I cannot believe he says that - its SO slashy! Talk about handing it to you on a plate?

they were both perfectly in character.

Oh thank you! I always worry about that - there's nothing worse than reading a fic that throws them out of character so this is a relief to hear.

I made it yes. I do a lot of manips, only a handful of which are rater NC-17! LOL.

Oh, I know, and it's not the only slashy thing in that ep. The biggest thing, I think, is Fraser and Ray going on their "quest"--just the two of them. Ahem...what were we supposed to make of that? LOL. But there are so many terrific slashy moments.

I have to say that I've read so much *really good* dS fic. This fandom is blessed with many superb authors. (K/S pretty much ranges from the sublime to the really, really bad, and in about 3 months of reading dS fic voraciously, I don't think I've noticed anything really, really bad yet...and there's quite a lot of sublime stuff.) So the guys are usually more or less in character. I made note of it here because yours were particularly good characterizations. I don't think you need to worry! :)
