ADMIN: Latest Opt-Out Announcement

We want everyone who posts at ds_slash to feel secure in doing so. Therefore, to prevent the icons posted here from being included in LJ’s image feed, and possibly copied and hotlinked to, we have chosen to opt out of that feature.

If you would also like to opt out your personal journal or community:

Go to the Admin Console;

For personal journals: type set latest_optout yes in the box;

For a community type: set "for" CommunityName latest_optout yes (replacing CommunityName with your community name, of course);

Click ‘Execute’.

ADMIN: Open Season on Bunnies Day

Due to popular request (okay, one person asked, sheesh!) we’ve picked one day a week for members to submit challenges and plot bunnies to the list. Starting today, every Monday will be the designated Open Season on Bunnies Day, so if you happen to have any lying around you want to share or get off your back, send 'em in! *g*

The only rule is that you please don’t spam the list with your challenges and bunnies. If you have more than one, please include them all in the same post for that day. And remember, lj cuts are your friend. *g* (That said, announcements of ficathons, fic searches, and such are still okay any day of the week!)

Welcome & Rules

Welcome to ds_slash, a due South slash community.

Anything and everything is welcome here so long as it’s slash in nature and concerns due South, the characters, and/or the actors (including their other roles): announcements, banners, caps, discussion, fan fic (including RPS & WIP), fic searches, icons, manips, news, recs, vids, wallpapers, etc.

Rules:

1. All fan fic and fan art must be behind a cut (the only exception is two or three teaser icons).

2. Include the following information (if applicable) in the subject line to make it easier for us to Memory the posts: the type of item you’re posting (fanfic, icons, etc), title, pairing and rating.

Examples:

Fic: The Mountie and the Yank F/K NC17
Icons: Various
Wallpaper: You pay and you pay.... Fraser & Dief PG

3. Use a header that includes at least the following:

Title:
Pairing:
Rating:
Warnings:

4. RPS and WIP are allowed.

5. No flaming will be allowed. If something’s not your cup of bark tea, skip it.

To make things more interesting, we plan on holding various challenges throughout the year, such as opening line challenges, caption challenges, icon challenges, drabble trees.... If you have any suggestions, please contact one of the mods.
