Title: Untitled
Pairing: Fraser/RayK
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Summary: 635 words, using the prompt "winter".
When Ray heard the knock at the door his first thought was his mum forgot something and if she let herself in and found him naked in bed like this he’d be lying all over his Mountie again instead of under--
The quickest cover was his towel on the floor. Ray wiped his hand and wrapped it around his waist. His hair was still damp because he had just gotten out of the shower. “Yeah?” he called through the door, remembering at the last second to take the Stetson off. He tossed it on the counter and rumpled his wet hat hair.
“It’s me, Ray. I hope we’re not intruding--”
Ray felt the entire night’s tension get carried away by that voice. “Nah, Frase, I was hoping you would.”
“Ah,” Fraser’s eyes widened as the door opened and they darted between Ray’s half-nakedness and over his shoulder, searching, “your parents--” he whispered in shock.
Ray forcibly fought the instinct to tighten the hold on his towel at the thought of them again and actually let it drop. “They’re gone, tried to call you.”
Fraser cleared his throat, eyes now staring at Ray’s still half-hard erection. “I, uh, forgot my hat. So we circled back.”
“Wait. You been out walking all this time?” Fraser had been gone for three hours while Ray had dinner with his parents and it was cold outside—even for the Canadians.
“No, Dief enjoyed some time at the park--”
“Fraser,” Ray prodded.
“The cool air was bracing and I needed it.” Fraser tugged at his collar.
Ray knew the apartment was warm, but he knew the color flushing Fraser’s cheeks wasn’t from being over dressed inside, or from the winter air outside. He really loved to see the Mountie melt. “I didn’t say you had to leave,” Ray reminded him.
Dief thumped his tail where he sat in the kitchen and Fraser spared him a cross glance. “I beg your pardon, it was not my idea to come begging for pierogies. I’m sorry, Ray, if I hadn’t left my hat--”
Ray raised an eyebrow. “Really.” Because come to mention it, Fraser never just forgot his hat. “Alright, alright. We all got, uh, desires here,” he reminded Fraser, bouncing on his toes a little to match his eyebrow wiggle. “Whatta ya say, Frase, wanna get naked?”
Fraser nodded once. “Very much, Ray.”
Ray grinned. “Good. You,” he pointed at Fraser, “bedroom. “You, wolf--”
“Ray, don’t spoil him,” Fraser protested as he shrugged out of his jacket.
“Was I talking to you?” Ray shot back. He ignored Fraser’s long suffering sigh and winked at Dief. Dief’s tail thumped again, reminding Ray of their deal. Ray obediently pulled a plate down for him. He dished a generous helping of mum’s leftovers onto the plate but hesitated before putting it down. “You stay out here tonight, you hear me? I know you like kraut, but it does not like you.”
Dief pawed at the plate anyway and Ray let him have it. Glancing down the hall, he grabbed Fraser’s coat and fought the chill that shivered down his spine when the ice cold fabric brushed on his bare skin. It even smelled cold, covering the usual scent of Fraser’s standard issue soap. He put Fraser’s hat on and tipped a nod to the wolf. “Ready or not, here I come,” he called.
Fraser stepped out of the bathroom, his breath reeking freshly of mint toothpaste and acidic mouthwash. “Ray, what are you doing?”
Ray dodged a kiss because that wasn’t the mountie taste he wanted either. He wrapped his arms around Fraser’s still clothed and cold body and sucked on his earlobe. Fraser’s big chilly hands cupped his ass and Ray’s teeth clacked together. “Acclimating myself to the great Northwest.”
