Title: Lifetime Partner
Fandom: Due South
Characters: Kowalski/Fraser and Dief
Prompt: #18 Green
Word Count: 200
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Slash and wolf slobber ^_^
It was hinky to be jealous of a wolf. But the fact that he had to tell himself that also told him that it was already too late.
Fraser talks to the wolf, listens to him, understands him. Was it wrong to envy the connection a man has with his pet? Only, it wasn’t a pet, it was a “Lifetime Partner”, Fraser had said so himself.
Across Ray’s desk, Dief leaps up, right in the middle of a typical one-way mountie-wolf conversation, plants both paws in Fraser’s lap and licks him squarely on the lips. Fraser closes his eyes and splutters in indignation, but he still gives Dief a loving scritch behind the ear as he finds his train of thought and continues to explain why the wolf can’t have any more doughnuts.
Ray idly wonders if he too would get a rub behind the ears in reward if he leapt into the mountie’s lap and gave his mouth a good tonguing?
Meanwhile, Dief has climbed down, claws clicking against the floor drawing the detective’s attention before he pads off to find another sucker who wants to give up their lunch. Ray could swear the stupid mutt smirked at him.

Title: Excess Lung Capacity
Fandom: Due South
Characters: Fraser/Kowalski
Prompt: #20 Colourless
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Implied slash
Its hard to focus his thoughts on something that’s not there. Only it is there. The fact that he’s breathing - is still breathing - proves that its there, even though he can’t see it. Its nothing, part of every day life. But so important, he just can’t forget about it.
He remembers the burning tightness in his chest, the panic blinding him, the urge to open his mouth and inhale the whole sea, his life be-damned. He remembers Fraser pressing his mouth to his, gifting him with precious colourless life.
And remembering gives him a whole new burning tightness.
