Ray sat back on the park bench and watched Dief chase a Frisbee with the yellow lab from 2B. Dief dove at King and pushed him out of the way. The Frisbee bounced off his nose and wobbled until it landed on the ground and rolled toward the bushes. Dief snatched it up and returned it to King’s owner, a sleek and voluptuous blonde.

“Diefenbaker, that was hardly a fair catch,” Ben chided as he came up beside Ray. “I apologize, Gina, he--”

She laughed and waved him off as she patted both dogs and tossed the Frisbee again. This time King managed a clean catch and Dief nipped his tail.

Ben was half-sitting on the bench beside Ray when he bolted up again. “Dief! We will go home if you cannot behave yourself!”

“Sit down,” Ray said, tugging his arm. “It’s just a friendly rivalry. See that terrier with the cute derrière?” Ray pointed to the muscle-bound gym teacher from across the street. He jogged by every evening with Shelby racing behind and Ray knew Dief and King would settle down when their little girlfriend was out of range.

“Ah,” Ben replied and his nose went in the air like Dief, but it was pointed suspiciously, nostrils flaring jealously, at Ray.

“Come here.” Ray grinned and wrapped his arm around Ben’s shoulders to pull him closer. He traced the shell of Ben’s ear with his fingernail and the other man shivered. Ben tipped closer, and his nose was cool from the evening air as he nuzzled Ray’s neck. Ray’s finger scratched harder and Ben’s teeth grazed skin.

“Let’s go home,” he growled.

“Yeah,” Ray breathed, pulse jumping. “Yeah, that’s a good idea.”

Ben reluctantly disentangled himself and called Dief. He had the usual difficult time getting the wolf’s attention and Ray stayed put, taking a deep breath and looking for all the world like he was just leisurely watching the sun go down behind the trees.

“Ray.”

“Yeah, Ben.”

“Ray,” Ben repeated impatiently.

“Yeah, Ben?”

“Ray!” Ben blew out a frustrated breath and started back to the apartment.

Ray could hear him mumbling under his breath to Dief and he grinned. When Ben turned back one last time, Ray was still sprawled comfortably on the bench, but with his neck craned slightly to watch Ben walk away.

“Ray?” he called hopefully.

“I’m just enjoying the hindsight.”

Ben’s brows furrowed. “Ray, I don’t think--”

“Oh, but I do, Benton, buddy.” Ray sauntered over, basking in Ben’s warm and encouraging gaze. He palmed the curve of Ben’s ass, and leered, “I very much enjoy this sight here.”

Ben’s eyes darkened. “Ray.”

“Already ahead of you,” Ray said, heading for home.

“Ah, yes, I see what you mean,” Ben murmured behind him and Ray laughed.

Wee that's a fun one! Ray, such a quirky guy watching Fraser walk away. Those are the best camera angles that I look for in the show. I loves it, I do!! :)
